What Is Noninvasive Vagus Nerve Stimulation?

Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) is a therapeutic technique that gently delivers electrical impulses to the vagus nerve.

The Vagus Nerve is the longest cranial nerve in the body, extending all the way from the brainstem to the abdomen, and plays a crucial role in the autonomic nervous system.

Stimulating the vagus nerve specifically activates the parasympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system, which regulates mood, digestion, the immune response, and cardiovascular function. This shifts your body from a fight or flight state into a more balanced state.  When the nervous system is in balance, these functions work harmoniously, allowing the body to operate more efficiently, having many positive effects on our health.
